Activity Description
Absurd Math is an interactive mathematical problem-solving game series for pre-algebra. The player proceeds on missions in a strange world where the ultimate power consists of mathematical skill and knowledge. Many of the pages have hidden clues and areas. Anytime a player needs help, they may e-mail the staff for assistance. They try to respond within two days. Teachers can e-mail them for answer keys. This activity is great for gamers among our students. You can get them to do the math as they explore this world. To complete this activity, use the Example Web Site (above). Don't be tricked by the authorization codes. On the first page, it states the Energy Level times area is the authorization code. You are in area 46 and the energy level is -3. Your students will need to multiply 46 X (-3) to uncover the authorization code. This activity is to challenge your students who already understand the basic concepts.

It is organized according to math Subject: Arithmetic then Topic: Division 1. Because of the multitude of examples, you can find another Division lesson under Dividing Whole Numbers and Applications 1. Down the left, you see the organization of each lesson/course.

This site has many activities which can be done independently by a student or in a class with a group of students. This will be a Basic Math activity. Students will watch the video: Buying for Triplets. Discuss the problem setup. Use the Example Document to work on more word problems. (Answer sheet is included in the second Example Document.) This activity takes you through the steps to set up your own EdReady account and how you can use it with your students.
OTAN supports agencies wanting to try EdReady with their students. They will set up teacher accounts and needed student pathways. Students are assigned a “Goal key” that ensures the student is working in their teacher’s account. Teachers can track student progress and time on task.

Activity Description
Project Interactivate is mathematics courseware containing more than 29+ classroom-tested interactive activities and tools. Suggested lesson plans and discussions based on various concepts contained in the activities help support standards-based approaches to mathematics education.
Students can also use the site to learn fractions, do comparisons, create Venn Diagrams and practice other mathematics concepts. Great for the visual learner.
This activity allows students to practice solving algebraic equations using the additive inverse and multiplicative inverse properties. As the user solves the problem, the activity tracks each step, noting the property that was used and the number of steps used to solve the equation. There are three different levels of difficulty.
