A repository for original EL Civics instructional materials created by California WIOA, Title II: AEFLA/EL Civics agencies. These materials can be used to teach EL Civics content to English language learners as part of the 30 hours of instruction required in California before administering an EL Civics Assessment (COAAP).

The OTAN Online Lesson Plan Builder is designed as a tool for adult educators to improve instruction. It is intended for the use of both new teachers who are studying their craft and of experienced teachers developing detailed lesson plans to share with their peers.

OTAN invites field nominations of adult education learners who are successful as a result of the education received at California WIOA funded adult education agencies. Nominations are accepted during the open nomination period.

The WIOA, Title II: AEFLA grant provides supplemental funds for adult education to (1) assist adults to become literate and obtain the knowledge and skills necessary for employment and economic self-sufficiency; (2) assist adults who are parents or family members to obtain education and skills; (3) assist adults in attaining a secondary school diploma and postsecondary education and training, including through career pathways; and (4) assist immigrants and other individuals who are English language learners.
