Reading Foundational Skills

The College and Career Readiness Standards (CCRS) Reading Standards section has a foundational component. The Reading Foundational Skills help students' understanding and working knowledge of concepts of print, the alphabet, and other basic conventions of the English writing system.

RF.2: Demonstrate understanding of spoken words, syllables, and sounds (phonemes). (Phonological Awareness)
