In this activity, students watch a biographical vignette about an American president of choice and take notes. Students are then asked to write an essay about the president selected and share what they learned with the class. This site also has teacher guides for all 41 programs from C-SPAN’s television series, American Presidents: Life Portraits. In this activity, students learn the components of a balance sheet by working through many problems to strengthen their understanding. Students complete a balance sheet for business by entering the names of the accounts and calculating total assets, liabilities, and net worth. Students then make predictions on how the balance sheet changes when there are changes to assets and liabilities.
