Activity Description

This lesson plan goes over the benefits of music in your life.

Preparation

  1. Check the website to ensure it is not blocked at your site.
  2. Read through the lesson plan.
  3. Print and make copies of any handouts. (Document and PPT )

How-To

 

-Open class with a 5-10  minutes of music.

-Learners can sign in on attendance sheet,(if available)

-Learners can place their backpacks, lunches in designated areas

-Learners can greet each other, get organized for the day.

This can be used not only as a class opening activity, but has a lesson on maintaining good health habits, or many others that you mady think of.

I used my music from my Amazon playlist. You may choose your own music from your own accounts also.

More Ways

Instructor can go over different types of music, categories, etc.

Instructor can have students guess what type of music was played.(see document)

Learners may want to draw or described what they heard.

Learners can guess what was drawn or the instrument described.

Learners can act out an instrument, play the drums, guitar, etc.

This will incorporate different modes of learning for all.

Instructor can use a computer to show different instruments for detailed information. Research website at instructors choice, Google, Chat GPT, Copilot, etc
