In this activity, students watch a biographical vignette about an American president of choice and take notes. Students are then asked to write an essay about the president selected and share what they learned with the class. This site also has teacher guides for all 41 programs from C-SPAN’s television series, American Presidents: Life Portraits. There are also numerous video resources to enhance classroom instruction on presidents.

In this activity, students write descriptions of an image using adjectives, apply adjective order rules, learn about AI image prompting, generate images using AI image generation tools, and evaluate and improve their descriptive writing skills.

Activity Description

Students practice vocabulary or grammar (parts of speech) using customized puzzles you create with this site's online puzzle-making tools. The puzzles can be used for supplemental practice activities, fillers, or as homework. Puzzles types include word search, criss-cross (crossword), double puzzle, fallen phrase, letter tiles, cryptogram, and hidden message.
