March 3-7 is Open Education Week! Open Education Resources are openly shared resources teachers can adopt, customize, and use to augment learning. Check out Open Education Global's site link for more information.

California Adult Education Students Succeed Nomination Window is open! Nominate adult learners who have changed because of an adult education program. Deadline: March 21.

Tuesday, March 11, 11:30 am –12:30 pm | Create a Canvas Course Teacher Hub Template Workgroup 1 with Dana Thompson | Discover the Teacher template for Canvas! This session introduces the features and tools designed to support faculty in managing resources and course materials. Learn best practices for using the template and adapting it to enhance your teaching workflow.

Tuesday, March 11, 1-2:30 pm | Canvas Discussions | In this session, participants will learn all about the new Discussion redesign and how to create and use Discussions for engagement. Discussions has been upgraded to enable Podcast feeds, new Checkpoints and summary features for easy grading.

Wednesday, March 12, 1-2:30 pm | Canvas AI Translation Feature | This 90-minute session will introduce the new AI Translation feature Canvas has to offer. AI Translations is an opt-in feature that must be enabled by your Canvas admin. Once enabled you can access this feature within the Canvas Discussions, Canvas Announcements, and the Canvas Inbox tools.

Friday, March 14, 1-2:00 pm | OTAN Tech Talk March 2025: Tracking Student Success with a Shared Google Tracker with Christina Hyatt, OTAN SME | Learn how to use Google Sheets to track attendance, test scores, course completion, and potential graduates—all in one place. Monday, March 17, 1-2:00 pm | Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) for Small Agencies with Jaemi Naish, OTAN SME | This session is designed for small agencies -- typically with student enrollments below 500 learners -- to write an effective Continuous Improvement Plan due on April 30, 2025. Join this session to get ideas, support, and opportunities to talk to other small - school planners on how they approach the CIP process.
