Activity Description

Learn ways to set up your classroom for learner. Part 1 will focus on set up.

Preparation

 

  1. Read through the lesson plan.

How-To

In this portion of the lesson plan, you will take a look at your classroom. 

Things to evaluate will be:

1. Is your class on floor level, do you need to take a stairway, elevator, are these accessible for all learners if needed.

2. Entrance - can a wheelchair, walker, someone with a cane, or crutches get through door.

3. Do you have tables, chairs, are these adjustable for all learners? Do you want rolling chairs?

4. How is the lighting in your classroom?

5. Are the windows covered, if you have windows? 

6. Any A/C or heat in classroom?

These are just a few things we will go over in this lesson plan.
