Activity Description
This lesson plan may provide ways to incorporate movement/exercise in your everyday life.
Preparation
Check the website to ensure it is not blocked at your site.
Read through the lesson plan.
Print and make copies of any handouts.
How-To
Instructor may use a white board, an overhead projector, show of hands, group students in 3 or 4 (many options):
-Any benefits to exercise
-Should we exercise
-Name a water exercise...land...air...outside...inside
-Is there an age limit...time limit
Or any question you may think is relevent
Teacher Tips
To elaborate in the More Ways , have pictures available for learners to use, assorted sports, flash cards of exercise, etc.
More Ways
After a group discussion of exercise, instructor may group learners into groups.
1. Give learners magazines,tablets, computers, to show outside exercises
2. If possible, ask some learners to demonstrate a simple exercise to the class, stretching, box breathing
3. A group could describe a sport, describe the exercise that is involved. Example, soccer: kicking, running,etc

Instructor may choose stretch and release exercise. See attached or in documents for this lesson plan.
Along with doing this exercise, instructor can go over the parts of the body you are activating .
Learners can also name parts of body being used. Eamples, arms, legs, ankles, lungs, heart, etc
