This is a very interactive site that allows for group work (if you have a computer and projector or an interactive whiteboard) or individual work by a student. Students will learn about individual rights, court decisions, presidential responsibilities, how to become a citizen, separation of powers, the Constitution and Bill of Rights, The Judicial Branch, Executive Branch, Legislative Branch, Money Management, and Media and Influence.

For this lesson we will focus on Media and Influence: Propaganda, but if another topic meets your needs, feel free to explore and find another lesson.

In this activity, students learn the difference between the popular vote and the Electoral College, analyze the differences between the presidential and congressional elections, compare the various nomination processes, and learn about party conventions. This is a complete lesson with worksheets and PowerPoint presentations provided. This activity concludes with the game "Win the White House", in which students make their own decisions on issues, fundraising, and public appearances. This game can be played at various levels.

In this activity, students explore the heart and cardiovascular system. InnerBody provides students with an interactive exploration of the anatomy of the human body. Nine body systems are illustrated. Some images are animated, and the site is searchable.

In this activity, students solve twenty quadratic equations online using the quadratic formula. Incorrect answers are provided with Review, Remember, and Solve which take the student step-by-step to find the correct solution.

This site includes math exercises that can be done, corrected, and reviewed online. It is divided by grades, and you can choose the state standards. The free version only allows the student to answer 20 questions each day.

This activity gives students the needed practice to reinforce classroom instruction on Scientific Notation. Students are asked to convert from standard form to scientific notation. Students who answer incorrectly are given an explanation of the correct solution and an opportunity to try again.

This site requires a paid membership; however, you are permitted free access to 20 questions per day. IXL provides differential instruction and tracks student progress with the paid subscription. The questions will automatically increase in difficulty as the student improves.

The cost is not exorbitant, but at the present time, it is $299 per year and up for your class.
