Abstract:
This meta-analysis of over a thousand empirical studies of online learning found that on average, students in online learning conditions performed better than those receiving face-to-face instruction. Also, the difference was even larger in studies that contrasted blended learning(combination of online learning and face-to-face) with traditional classrooms. References included.
