Abstract:
The California Distance Learning Summit was held May 10 and 11, 1990 at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. The meeting was sponsored by the California Technology Project (CTP) and the Regional Educational Television Advisory Council (RETAC). Attendees included administrators in K-12 education as well as representatives from the University of California and the California State University. The goal of the summit was to bring together the educators involved in televised distance learning at all levels in California and to begin to formulate a unified statewide strategy to implement distance learning in the state. The report summarizes the addresses and the reports of the small group chairs, including recommendations.
