Curriculum Offers: CK-12
At CK-12, each FlexBook 2.0 (or digital textbook) is enriched with simulations, videos, interactive activities, AI-assisted adaptive practice, and quizzes. The resources are available for free as Open Educational Resources (OER). CK-12 equips teachers and students with everything they need to provide and access academic content and assess student learning. CK-12 also has created a platform for teachers to take their existing content and modify or add to it. You can even start from scratch with a blank FlexBook 2.0 and create your own resources.
In March 2021, OTAN partnered with CK-12 to make a series of FlexBooks® 2.0 specifically customized for high school diploma and equivalency learners. We are currently expanding our adult education course offerings to include Adult Basic Education (ABE), Adult Secondary Education (ASE) - High School Diploma and High School Equivalency, English as a Second Language (ESL), and Career Technical Education (CTE). (You can use CK-12 with or without an LMS.) They will help you set up a class or you can link directly to the course.

These interactives covering all the branches of math and science are a great way to start class. Each has five questions per interactive that help the student understand the concept better. The last question is always an OPEN DISCUSSION question that you can use to talk with the whole class about the concept.

These simulations allow students to "dig deep" into physics and chemistry as they control multiple variable to learn and explore concepts in a way never before possible.
CK-12 Certified Educator Program
Educators gain knowledge of the CK-12 platform to better engage students and improve learning. The CEP is flexible and free - like CK-12's resources.

CK-12 Series Part 1: Free Digital Textbooks for Adult Education
Part 1 will introduce you to the magic of CK-12 with its amazing teaching tools. We will demonstrate the FlexBook® 2.0 including its ability to assist students by giving hints, adapting questions dependent on their responses, and offering resources in other modalities if they struggle. We will show you how to search for resources and how to create your own account. When you leave you will be ready to discover how CK-12 can meet your own classroom/school needs.
CK-12 Series Part 2: Getting Started with FlexBooks 2.0
Ready to create your account and make/enhance your first book? Part 2 is an opportunity to learn how to use CK-12 in your classroom. We will show you how to use CK-12 platform to customize the existing Adult Education FlexBooks® or even create your own from scratch. It is so easy, you can work on it tonight and use it tomorrow! We will also show you how to modify lessons to include your own practice, quizzes, and more!
CK-12 Series Part 3: FlexBook 2.0 Showcase & Support
Time to show off the digital FlexBooks® you have made! This is the perfect opportunity to share ideas, ask questions, and celebrate the new FlexBooks® 2.0 we created together. We will show you how to create classes in CK-12 or through an LMS, to make assignments, and to track student progress. We will also show you some amazing CK-12 advanced features and make sure you know how to publish and share your book with others.
