Google Sites - Connect to Students Online

Description

Creating a website with Google allows the adult education teacher thousands of ways to create a repository of resources or archive of class materials, publish event calendar dates, as well as link to other sites or resources. A web site is a connection point students, teachers, and community. With your Google account, the site will work and blend seamlessly with Google's suite of tools (Docs, Slides, Forms, etc.) for easy sharing, updates, and access.

This online workshop will allow for hands-on practice building a web site between watching the process by a trainer. At the end of the online session, all participants will have built their own functional web site with at least 2 pages, links to resources, and embedded documents that can be shared with students or colleagues.

All participants must:

1. have basic computer skills,

2. know their Sign In to Google,

3. be able to open the webinar AND have a separate window open (where their web site will be created) at the same time,
