Google Account Management and Safety series

Description

Where this series will relate directly to Google accounts, some of the topics and recommendations discussed will also be pertinent to other cloud accounts like Microsoft.

The series will consist of 3 to 4 separate webinars where the following topics and more will be grouped and covered:

1. Difference in and creating Google accounts - 100% Google vs. hybrid version
2. Multiple accounts - advantages to using more than one account, separating your "selves", permissions between accounts, tranferring files or ownership,
3. Browser account vs. cloud account (ie., Chrome vs Drive or Gmail)
4. Methods of Signing in - via Google tools or EDU, switching between Club and Pub, etc.
5. Sharing between accounts - edit rights, shared with me, shared drive, and transfer of ownership, etc.
6. Account Management - removing unused files, and using Shared Drive.
7. Account Safety - 2-factor, Sign In history, password management, and more as time allows or is requested (per requesting program*).

Presented as webinars, each part will be conducted as a "hands-on workshops" where participants will be encouraged to follow along on their own devices. Questions will be answered throughout and materials will be shared at the end of each webinar.

The desired outcome of this series will be that all participants will have a working understanding of account types, management, and safety.

Detailed descriptions of topics covered will be included on the CA Adult Education Professional Development calendar as they are scheduled and appear there.
