OTAN: Internet Resources for Adult Education

Description

This hands-on workshop is designed for adult educators familiar with the Internet who wish to find resources to use in their class or AE program. The session focuses on the teaching resources available on and through the OTAN Web site with side trips to other online sites, apps and tools.

Hands-on practice time will be allowed on resources found as participants navigate the OTAN site and use the Teaching with Technology tool located there. Participants will be guided to the online resources available to prepare classroom activities, sites to use for an adult education class, online activity apps for students, and more!

Though all will be addressed, this workshop can be focused (as requested) to any adult education program area including: ABE, ASE, HSE, GED, ESL, EL Civics, Citizenship, and CTE.

Prerequisites:

  • Basic computer and Internet skills.
  • A valid e-mail address
