Online Formative Assessment Tools

Formative assessments help students learn what they know and what they need to know. There are many different formative assessment tools available online to assist adult educators and their students to conduct different assessments in and out of the classroom.

During this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to assess students’ learning before, during, and at the end of class, as well as sharing assessments with their students. Tips and tricks for getting students to create their own formative assessments will also be presented.

This workshop will explore one or more different tools as requested. The online tools may include (but are not limited to): Kahoot!, Quizlet, Quizizz, PollEverywhere, and exit tickets. A mobile device component may also be included where accessing tools using smart devices will be shown and modeled (dependent upon requestor).

Prerequisites: All participants must have basic computer skills and know their login information for a work or personal email address.
