Google Slides and Draw
Description
Learn the power of Google Drawings and Slides!
Google Drawings is a free, web-based drawing tool that allows users to collaborate and work together in real time to create flowcharts, mind maps, concept maps, brochures, and layered images to use in Google Docs or Slides. During this workshop, participants will learn to draw shapes, resize images, and layer their own drawings, as well as upload and mask photos. Layout and design will also be covered for simple newsletters and brochures.
Google Slides is the perfect pair to Drawings with the same tools available and instant drawing capability within. The Slides portion of the workshop will focus on using templates, the Explore tool, inserting images with ALT tags for accessibility, and much more.
Examples of how to use Drawings and Slides with students and colleagues within an adult education program will be provided throughout.
Prerequisites: All participants must have basic computer skills and know their login information for a public Google (@gmail.com) or G Suite EDU (@district.org) email address.
