Communicating with Your Students Through Online Video
Description
Have you ever wanted to tell your student something about a correction in their assigned work? Or needed a way to communicate with students who missed a class? This workshop will cover different ways to use online applications to meet your communication needs. We will look at a tech tool such as Loom for a quick way to make a video of you discussing corrections on a student’s work. We will also look at screencasting which allows you to create videos of step-by-step instructions that students can then access anywhere anytime. We will discuss how and where to house the videos and ways for students to access them.
Prerequisites: All participants must have basic computer skills and know their login information for a work or personal email address.
