Activity Description
Wayground can be used as a prediction activity to find out what students already know about a topic or it can be used as a review to find out what was learned. You can create and play quizzes live or for homework. They can be accessed by the students using any device with a Web browser including a laptop, iPad, iPhone, iPod, Android, Chromebook, or desktop computer. An app is NOT necessary to participate in a Wayground activity.
Teachers can sign up for free, but it is a limited version. There is no upgrade for teachers. A school has to buy into it and there needs to be a district quote. For free, you can have 100 students, 20 games stored and there are only limted question types.
Preparation
Get a Wayground account and practice making and playing games
There is a search bar to peruse games already made.
Find one on your topic area and select the copy and edit button
Open your game and select Edit.
Tweak it to fit your class and select publish top right pink button.
How-To
Wayground is best used as a homework activity. Select homework and you will get detailed instructions to send your students to do the quiz at home.
Assign a quiz on Friday and do a whole class check of results on Monday.
Use the reports section to see how well students understand key concepts.
Revisit any topics that revealed a lack of understanding from the Wayground
Teacher Tips
Never make a quiz from scratch. Always search for an already made one and tweak it to save time.

Combine Google Forms with Wayground to get your students to collaborate on a quiz. Just create a copy of this Google Forms template, and ask your students to fill in their questions on the form. Once your students have added their questions, add them to your quiz.
