We have had some questions about how to earn a teaching credential to work for an adult education program. The best place to start is the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Go to the CTC Teaching Credentials Requirements webpage and scroll down to Designated Subjects Teaching Credentials for information on adult ed credentials. There are many agencies in California that offer credential programs, including online programs in response to COVID-19. The best place to look for adult ed jobs is EdJoin and you can also contact adult ed agencies directly for more information about job opportunities.

COVID-19 Critical Events Survey (Effective 4/13: Re-opened until further notice)
In cooperation with the California Adult Education Office and our partner leadership projects, OTAN is curating and compiling information, resources, and other supports to help educators and learners continue their instructional programs. To help in this effort, the AEO is asking agencies to fill out this survey. The form asks thirty (30) questions along with the agency name and email address. It is estimated this form will take less than 10 minutes to complete. -
