TDLS 2022 - Student Friendly Canvas Course Design

TDLS

In this session, participants will learn about designing a student-friendly Canvas course. The careful planning and design of a course can set students up for success and aid in student retention. The session will focus on two important aspects of course design: the homepage and module flow. Participants will learn about creating homepages and planning modules that are inviting, personalized, and purposeful. Examples will be viewed and best practices will be discussed. Examples will be from an ESL course and the best practices will be based on the OEI Course Design Rubric and Universal Design.
