TDLS 2022 - Jamboard Tips and Tricks

TDLS

With Google Jamboard being a newer interactive Google tool, many teachers are not aware of its lesson possibilities or may not be using it to its full potential. This presentation will cover four areas for participants to become more comfortable using Jamboard with their students. First, the fundamentals of navigating around Jamboard will be introduced. Second, how to make a basic Jamboard will be demonstrated (e.g. pose question for students to write responses) and how to share it. Third, more advanced options of using or creating an image as a frame background that students cannot change will be discussed. This allows the frames to be used multiple times and lends itself to circling, underlining, or highlighting text, labeling pictures, and more. Lastly, tips for using Jamboard with groups or individuals will be shared. Participants will be able to experience posting on several sample Jamboards that model brainstorming, reviewing, and reporting throughout the presentation.
