TDLS 2024 - Students Engaging with Video Creation in Language Courses

TDLS

The EEE framework has taught us that technology in instruction should be a means rather than an end. Beyond the idea of the medium (fully online instruction) lies the possibility of extending student engagement through novel ways of teaching and learning that students are truly comfortable with. In this experimental instruction, we asked many students to participate in group projects involving the target language (English or French) and saw engagement flourish.

PRESENTERS:
Abram (Avi) Jones, Lecturer of French and Faculty Mentor for Online Course Services, CSU Sacramento, ESL Instructor, UC Davis
