TDLS 2021 - Humanizing Your Course With a Liquid Syllabus

TDLS

Have you been thinking about ways to engage and effectively communicate with your students in our online educational environment? Your solution may be to incorporate a Liquid Syllabus. A Liquid Syllabus is an accessible, public website that incorporates a brief, friendly welcome video and course information written in welcoming, student-centered language. In this workshop, you will be introduced to the philosophy behind this medium as well as various examples of liquid syllabi including one that is used by the presenter. You will be provided the tools to create your own Liquid Syllabus using Google Sites in a step-by-step presentation.

The workshop will include a demonstration on how to create a Liquid Syllabus using Google Sites. You DON'T have to be proficient in using Google Sites, but PLEASE make sure you create a Google Account ahead of time. (*HINT: If you have a PUBLIC Gmail account you have a Google account or you may want to create a new one.)
