TDLS 2023 - Using Smartphone Apps to Drive ESL GED and Job Skills Training

This panel brings together San Diego-based adult educators from Sweetwater Adult Education as well as other service providing agencies to discuss how they are implementing smartphone-based apps to engage learners and accelerate growth in English, math, and workplace prep. Panelists include Michelle Dullea and Kevin Leonard from Sweetwater Adult Education. As hosts of this year’s conference, Sweetwater and Chula Vista Adult School will share their experiences with other agencies in California. Other panelists will be added at a later date. Vinod Lobo, founder and CEO of Learning Upgrade, a learning app that teaches English, math, and job skills for self-reliance, will moderate the panel. He has worked with Sweetwater Adult Education for 7 years to implement smartphone-based learning.
