OTAN Website and Resources Sessions / Series
Description
The Outreach and Technical Assistance Network is a California Adult Education leadership project. One of its directives is to provide resources to adult educators and that is achieved with the OTAN website, YouTube channel, social media tools, and more.
These sessions focus on the resources on the OTAN website and how to find materials and resources that assist adult educators in the classroom. These sessions are more geared towards presentations but all can be given as workshops if requested.
Titles and short descriptions include but are not limited to:
OTAN - Resources for Adult Education: Designed for adult educators and administrators familiar with the Internet who wish to find resources and online curriculum to use in their class or adult education programs. These sessions focus on the teaching resources available on and through the OTAN website including side trips to other online sites, apps and tools.
Using the Teaching with Technology Search Tool: focuses on OTAN's "Teaching with Technology" search tool which allows members to locate and learn about websites and other technologies that are suitable for their lessons including standards. Participants are guided through using the tool and learn effective strategies for searching by program area, level, skill, standard, and competency to locate technology resources appropriate for an adult education class.
