CK12 - Free Digital Textbooks Sessions / Series

Description

Adult learners now have a space on the CK-12 website with FlexBooks® 2.0 specifically customized for high school and equivalency learners. CK-12 creates high-quality and free resources that are easy to use in any type of remote, hybrid, or in-class learning situation. This is the future of adult education and it is all free!

These sessions focus on how the Free Digital Textbooks helps tailor the learning to individual student needs and they offer teachers suggested steps for struggling learners and automatic grading. FlexBook® 2.0 is filled with simulations, videos, interactive activities, and adaptive practice.

Each session title can be scheduled as a standalone event or requested as a series of sessions where titles are scheduled as separate events. Titles, listed in recommended order, include but are not limited to:

2. Getting Started with FlexBooks® 2.0: shows how to create an account and make/enhance a Flexbook on the CK-12 system. Participants will also learn how to use CK-12 in their classroom. Homework may be assigned.

3. FlexBook® 2.0 Showcase & Support: this session allows participants to show off the digital FlexBooks® they have created.
