OTAN Upcoming Activities – Week of 10/17

OTAN's Technology and Distance Learning Symposium 2023 is scheduled for Friday, March 3 and Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the Chula Vista Adult School. TDLS will be a hybrid event offering in-person and virtual sessions. The Call for Proposals is now open! Please consider submitting a proposal to share your expertise and perspective with others! October 17 to 21 is Digital Citizenship Week. Digital Citizenship brings awareness to internet safety, media balance and social media. Developing safe online habits for students is a school and family issue. Covering topics like online safety, healthy media habits, and creating boundaries for device use are just a few of the many topics available. OTAN invites adult educators to enroll in the BEST Course (Building an EdTech Strategy Toolkit)! Engage in developing sustainable instructional routines and design lessons integrating technology. Along with coursework, participants will build a community of fellow practitioners with coaching as wanted. The culmination of coursework will be a “Show & Tell” where each participant will share two sustainable educational technology routines and report on their successes.
