Universal Broadband for All Made Possible with the Signing of SB 156

Governor Newsom signed SB 156, 9/19/22, a $6 billion-dollar broadband infrastructure budget that provides “a historic level of funding that will help close the digital divide by expanding access to high-quality internet connectivity across the state.”

This bill ensures that “families and small businesses as well as certain rural, urban and tribal communities without reliable internet,” universal broadband connectivity.
