OTAN Upcoming Activities – Week of 9/12

OTAN provides activities and resources to support our adult education colleagues. (All times below are PDT.)

  • On Wednesday, September 14 at 12:00pm, OTAN will present Best Practices with Canvas Studio. Intended for California Distance Learning Cooperative (CDLC) members, this webinar will provide an overview of Canvas Studio: adding and creating videos, assessing with Studio Quizzes, options in Studio videos, and organizing and sharing videos.   • On Thursday, September 15 at 12:00pm, OTAN will present Q&A with a Canvas Expert for Administrators. This opportunity is being provided to all members of the California Distance Learning Cooperative (CDLC) where a Canvas Expert can be asked questions regarding generating reports, viewing teacher courses, and any other support questions you may have.   • September 19 to 23 is Adult Education and Family Literacy Week. Read our news item to learn more about the week and resources that you can use to highlight and share your adult learner successes as well as advocate for our field.

  • On Monday, September 19 at 1:00pm, CDE will present Eligible Training Provider List. Learn the ins and outs of the Eligible Training Provider List with Max Zepf, an Associate Governmental Program Analyst who is the Lead ETPL Coordinator for EDD Workforce Services Branch.   • The California Adult Education Digital Learning Guidance is now available! We are excited to share the Guidance and look forward to developing ways to support effective implementation of digital learning within adult education.
