OTAN Upcoming Activities – Week of 9/5

OTAN provides activities and resources to support our adult education colleagues. (All times below are PDT.)

  • The OTAN office will be closed on Monday, September 5 for the Labor Day holiday. We will return to the office on Tuesday, September 6.

  • Web “siting” of the week: We are excited to make the California Adult Education Digital Learning Guidance available to the adult education field. Get your first look at the Guidance!

  • On Tuesday, September 6 at 2:00pm, OTAN will present Triple E Framework Course Kick-Off. The Triple E Framework measures how well an edtech tool or activity engages, enhances, and extends learning. This course is designed to walk instructors through a process of designing lesson plans that engage, enhance, and extend learning for students.   • On Friday, September 9 at 1:00pm, Audrey Dierdorff will present the September OTAN Tech Talk, Appointment Scheduling with Google Calendar. Learn how to create an appointment schedule using Google Calendar. Great for anyone who wants to set up appointments with individual students.   • On Wednesday, September 14 at 12:00pm, OTAN will present Best Practices with Canvas Studio. Intended for California Distance Learning Cooperative (CDLC) members, this webinar will provide an overview of Canvas Studio: adding and creating videos, assessing with Studio Quizzes, options in Studio videos, and organizing and sharing videos.   • On Thursday, September 15 at 12:00pm, OTAN will present Q&A with a Canvas Expert for Administrators. This opportunity is being provided to all members of the California Distance Learning Cooperative (CDLC) where a Canvas Expert can be asked questions regarding generating reports, viewing teacher courses, and any other support questions you may have.
