OTAN invites adult educators to participate in two professional development courses this fall.

Triple E Framework Course

The Triple E Framework measures how well an edtech tool or activity engages, enhances, and extends learning. OTAN has applied the Triple E Framework to adult education. This course is designed to walk instructors through a process of designing lesson plans that engage, enhance, and extend learning for students.

The course will meet for seven sessions over an eight-week period, including a Kick-Off and the presentations at the end, from September 6 to October 24.  You can expect to spend two to three hours per week creating lesson plans for integrating educational technology into your classroom. Certificates of Completion for this course will be issued upon receipt of the final project.

Register for an informational webinar on Tuesday, September 6 from 2:00 to 3:30pm to find out more about the course including details about requirements, timelines, coaching sessions, office hours, end of course presentation reports, as well as information about registered colleagues and facilitators: Triple E Framework Course Kick-Off

BEST Course

The BEST Course (Building an EdTech Strategy Toolkit) is designed to walk instructors through a thoughtful process of designing strategic, sustainable instructional routines that leverage educational technology and are centered around the factors that most impact their learners.

Participants can expect to spend two to five hours per week working toward creating routines for integrating educational technology into your classroom. Along with coursework, participants will meet for four sessions (including a kick-off on October 31) through December 12. Two of the sessions will be coaching sessions that meet during the weeks of November 14 and November 28. Office hours will also be scheduled on an as-needed basis. The course culminates with a Show and Tell in which participants will present two sustainable educational technology routines and report on their successes on Monday, December 12.

Join a kick-off webinar on Monday, October 31 from 2:00 to 3:30pm where we will explore a variety of resources that can be used to gain an understanding of learners' digital skills, goals, and mindsets: BEST Course Kick-Off
