Although our education system is still in the thick of COVID-19 and dealing with COVID-related issues on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, we still need to take some time to consider the future of education. In some ways, the last two years of pandemic education have only accelerated our timeline towards incorporating technology into multiple facets of teaching, learning, and administrating adult education programs. We have learned a lot about the potential of technology in ways that we did not think were possible.
We are beginning to see more and more use of artificial intelligence (or AI) in education. It could be some of the edtech tools that teachers are now familiar with such as Grammarly that are AI-based, or it could be a chatbot that greets the user who comes to a school website. As we look to the future of education, there is no doubt that AI will be a part of our field.
