Upcoming OTAN Activities to Support Adult Educators – Week of 9/13

OTAN provides resources for our adult education colleagues who are teaching and supporting their learners remotely. (All times below are PDT.)

  • Constitution Day and Citizenship Day is Friday, September 17. Read our OTAN news item for resources to share with students.

  • Visit OTAN's COVID-19 Field Support webpage with relevant information for teachers, students, and administrators: COVID-19 Field Support

  • OTAN Office Hours provide an opportunity to ask more detailed questions and get support on specific tools to use with students. You can sign up for these OTAN Office Hours at the California Adult Education Training Calendar:

    • Monday, September 13 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm
    • Friday, September 17 from 10:00am to 12:00noon

  • The Building an EdTech Strategy Toolkit (or BEST) course is designed to walk instructors through a thoughtful process of designing strategic and sustainable instructional routines that leverage EdTech and are centered around the factors that most impact their learners. OTAN is pleased to offer California adult education teachers this free, online BEST course in partnership with the EdTech Center at World Education.   • ICYMI: Take a look at the OTAN September Digest

  • The start of the school year is a great time to make sure your contact information is updated in your OTAN account. Take a few minutes to review your account – here are some instructions on how to update. And please share this link with your colleagues who aren't OTAN members yet so they can create their own accounts!
