Upcoming OTAN Activities to Support Adult Educators – Week of 5/10

OTAN has scheduled a number of online webinars and Office Hours for our adult education colleagues who are teaching and supporting their learners remotely. (All times below are PDT.)

OTAN Office Hours provide an opportunity to ask more detailed questions and get support on specific tools to use with students. You can sign up for these OTAN Office Hours at the California Adult Education Training Calendar:

Tuesday, May 11 from 4:00 to 5:00pm
Thursday, May 13 from 12:00 to 1:00pm

On Monday at 1:00pm, Alisa Takeuchi will present Remote Assessments Using a Virtual Platform. This presentation will demonstrate how to create assessments for students using Zoom and Google. On Tuesday at 1:00pm, Debbie Jensen will present Google Classroom for Adult Education – Part 1. This workshop will cover the basics of Google Classroom through beginning to advanced. Topics include how to create classes, add topics, enroll students, organize assignment streams, the gradebook, and much more. On Friday at 1:00pm, Audrey Dierdorff will present the May OTAN Tech Talk, Editing Video with Screencastify. Learn how to edit out your video mistakes or dead airtime with Screencastify Editor.
