Introducing the Personal and Workplace Success Skills Library
The Personal and Workplace Success Skills (PWSS) Library is a new resource launched by the National College Transition Network (NCTN), a part of World Education, Inc. The PWSS Library is a collection of resources to guide the integration of personal and workplace success skills into curriculum and instruction, advising and coaching, assessment, and program design. These resources were selected for adult education, higher education, workforce development, and career and technical education programs serving adult and older youth learners and workers, including English language learners. To learn more about the PWSS Library, visit its website.
Here are the two main components of the PWSS Library:
-
The Library – You can browse the full library and search for specific resources, based on the type of resource, the resource format, whether there is a cost or not, and the audience that is targeted.
-
Teaching the Skills – Read about the approach to selecting resources for the library and recommendations for teaching personal and workplace success skills.
The NCTN is also offering agencies a $2,500 stipend to participate in a program that will create a set of case studies to appear on the PWSS Library website. The goal is for an agency to incorporate a library resource into instruction or advising/coaching and document its experiences in one of the case studies that will be included in the PWSS Library to illustrate ways the resource can be used. An agency can learn more and complete a form to express its interest in being considering for the case study program at this webpage.
