During California Adult Education Week from April 19 to 23, adult schools across the state plan events to celebrate the work being done at their locations and the success of their adult students who have overcome difficulties to achieve their goals and dreams.

Adult Education Week reminds us of the close connections between adult schools and the communities in which they operate, and how adult education students are involved in bettering their lives, families, and localities academically, professionally, and holistically. It is also an opportunity to advocate for adult education in our communities and at the state level. CCAE (the California Council for Adult Education) has prepared some Advocacy resources that you can use to spread the word about adult education and how it's working at a local level. Here is the official California State Senate Concurrent Resolution proclaiming this week as Adult Education Week in California: SCR-25 Adult Education Week
