OTAN Regional Bay Area Canvas Summit

Are you looking to transform your digital classroom or streamline your LMS administration? Join adult educators and school leaders from the Bay Area and beyond for a day of collaboration and active learning.

The OTAN Regional Bay Area Canvas Summit is a free, one-day, hands-on professional development event hosted in partnership with the Contra Costa Adult Education Consortium. This isn't just another training; it’s a space to build, share, and grow your Canvas skills alongside your regional peers.

• When: Friday, June 5 | 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
• Where: Del Valle Education Center, Walnut Creek, CA
• Cost: Free for adult education staff and administrators.

A Session for Every Skill Level

Whether you’re just getting started or you’re already a Canvas power user, we have tailored tracks to meet your needs at the foundational, intermediate/advanced, and administrative levels.

The Goal: You’ll be able to practice and apply strategies as you learn them. Participants will have dedicated time to reflect, plan, and build directly within their own programs.

Important: How to Prepare

To get the most out of this summit, please keep the following in mind:

1. Bring Your Gear: Please bring a fully charged device and your curiosity.
2. Canvas Account: We strongly encourage attendees to have an active Canvas account through their school or agency. Much of the day involves real-time editing and building.
3. Need Access? If you or your agency do not yet have Canvas access, or if you need help getting set up, contact OTAN at AECanvas@scoe.net prior to the event. We are happy to help with onboarding!
