Monday, October 6, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm | Creating a Successful Canvas Course | Miranda Currie, OTAN Project Specialist | This two-hour virtual training is designed to help adult education teachers and staff create a successful Canvas course. The training includes hands-on practice and time for questions, so you can apply what you learn right away. What we’ll cover: Modules (adding pages, assignments, quizzes, discussions, inserting images + video), Calendar, Adding Students.

Friday, October 10, 10:00 - 11:00 am | ASAP & Canvas Integration: Custom Query Reports in Action - Session 2 | Christina Hyatt, OTAN Subject Matter Expert | Join us for a two-part interactive Zoom series on an updated ASAP–Canvas integration process using SIS imports. In Session 2 we’ll focus on collaboration: participants will share successes and challenges with their own integrations, discuss common errors, and work together to troubleshoot issues and "fix the bugs."

Friday, October 10, 1:00 - 2:00 pm | OTAN Tech Talk October 2025: Canvas Commons - Importing Premade Content Into Your Own Canvas Course | Francisco X. Pinedo, OTAN Subject Matter Expert | Learn Canvas Commons and how easy it is to import premade content into your own Canvas course! In this OTT you will learn how easy it is to import Canvas Commons content into your OTAN CANVAS Instance. You will also learn how to customize content and make sure it is aligned to be ADA compliant.

Saturday, October 25, 9:00 - 10:30 am | Accessible by Design: Building Inclusive Canvas Courses | Dana Thompson, OTAN Subject Matter Expert | In this session, you’ll learn how to apply accessibility best practices in Canvas to ensure your content is inclusive, usable, and welcoming to every student. Explore practical strategies for formatting content, using alternative text, designing with color contrast in mind, and structuring pages for screen reader compatibility. You’ll also learn how to use Canvas’s built-in accessibility checker and ensure your multimedia, links, and assessments are fully accessible.

Wednesday, November 5, 12:00 – 1:00 pm | Edpuzzle Disco Party! Session 1: Step Into the Edpuzzle Groove | Super Manny Curiel, Edpuzzle and Yecsenia Castro, OTAN Subject Matter Expert | Hello Hello Hello, party people! The disco floor is open, and we’re starting with the basics—what Edpuzzle is, why it is perfect for adult learning, and how it keeps your learners engaged. You’ll see it in action with videos from OTAN, all while I DJ the Edpuzzle vibes live. Think of this as your first dance—no pressure, just fun moves and lots of sparkle. By the end, you’ll be saying, "Yaaas!"
