Preparing adult learners for a global workforce

“Rapid economic, technological, and social changes are creating a world that is ever more interconnected.” To prepare our adult learners to take advantage of global market opportunities and prepare for the future, “companies must hire workers with global compentence” which is the “capacity to understand and act on issues of global significance.” Digital Promise partnered with the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) and Advance CTE to “develop professional development courses and resources to assist CTE educators with incorporating global skills into their courses.”

The four modules are short, 15-20 minutes, self-paced and available through ACTE’s Career Prepped platform. With each module, there is a Faculty Guide which assists with student assignment ideas and a Global Competence Self-Assessment. Titles include:
