If you use Microsoft Forms in your classroom, some updates might add some value to checking understanding with your students or with assessments. There’s a new Forms app. which streamlines the process. Unfortunately, this Forms app cannot be used offline, and with an internet connection, this Forms App isn’t an issue. What are the changes?

Update to Quizzes on Forms

Curating online quizzes is an “effortless process” with the Microsoft Forms App. No more cutting and pasting. Now, the app allows for uploading a Word file, PDF or any other document, and Forms creates the actual quiz to be distributed to students in seconds.

Automatic Theme Suggestions

There are several new theme suggestions for quiz design. The choices are automatically suggested based on the title you provide. The new themes add appealing new designs to your assessments.

New math symbol keyboard

There is a new math toggle switch which can be used to type in any math equation. Automatically, forms takes the equation and generates the correct answer and sample non-answers.

Enhanced control options

When you require a higher level of supervision and control, there are new features which aid in this. An instructor can set a timer for each student, send a reminder to complete a quiz, shuffle questions for different students and students can save and edit their responses. Along with these new updates, Microsoft has updated its App with an Insight Feature which assists with analyzing responses for every question and answer along with student trends.
