Tuesday, September 12, 12-1:00 pm | Canvas Q & A for Administrators and Teachers | Bring any questions about Canvas to our Instructure guest expert to be answered during this session. Once registered, participants will receive access to our Q&A document to log in questions ahead of time or in the moment.
Thursday, September 14, 12:30-1:30 | Advanced ESL Course on Canvas | With the move to the use of Instructure Canvas LMS across the state, the course was updated and redesigned as a fully shared Canvas course. The 18-unit course is topic based and covers the following language proficiency skills: listening, reading, writing, vocabulary development, and grammar. This session will orient teachers and/or administrators to the course and how it could be incorporated into their ESL curriculum. The course is available by OTAN at no cost to California adult education agencies.
Wednesday, September 20, 12-1:00 pm | Empower your PD Journey: Learn and Present at Spring CUE 2023 | Join us for this exclusive office hours session with Neda Anasseri from OTAN and Joe Marquez, the Director of Academic Innovation at CUE. Let Joe Marquez mentor and guide you as he shares the intricacies of the submission rubric, helping you prepare to present at CUE events.
Thursday, September 21, 12:30-1:30 pm | The Write Stuff – A Writing Skills course for English Language Learners (ELL) | The Write Stuff is an online writing course in Canvas that is designed for Adult Education English Language Learners at Intermediate High and Advanced levels to improve their writing skills. The course has been updated and redesigned in Canvas with new content and activities to help students improve their writing skills.
Monday, September 25, 12-1:00 pm | Artificial Intelligence (AI) Lunch Break | Bring your lunch, bring your appetite for knowledge, a curiosity for technology, and a willingness to collaborate, as we approach this exciting journey of exploring AI's potential in adult education with Jarek Janio.
