Wednesday, May 24, 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM | Canvas: Grading and Feedback
This session synthesizes how assignments, and the grade book are interconnected. Also explained are digital ways to communicate with students offering audio/video feedback and annotation. Great session for instructors new to Canvas.
Thursday, May 25, 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM | Video Discussion Prompts and Other Activities for ESL Classes with Barry Bakin
This presentation will introduce a slew of fun yet "easy to prepare" and "easy to do" classroom-tested activities adaptable to most levels of ESL in face-to-face and online instructional settings.
Friday, May 26, 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM | Building an OER Project and Team with Diana Vera-Alba
In this session, participants will learn about building an OER Project Team. Topics on funding will be discussed including leveraging WIOA dollars to fund OER projects. Different models and resources will also be discussed and shared.
Friday, May 26, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM | Creating with Canva- Basics and More with Audrey Dierdorff
Creating professional slides, flyers, and social media posts has never been easier using a design tool called Canva. The "freemium" version contains predesigned templates that can be used or edited to meet specific needs. For those ready to take the plunge, Canva also allows users to build individualized designs.
