Monday, April 24, 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM | Advancing Canvas: Creating Mastery Paths
Create customized learning pathways to allow for student choice or self-directed learning based on student performance.
Wednesday, April 26, 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM | Advanced ESL Course on Canvas
Advanced ESL is an OTAN-shared online course that was originally developed using Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) for Intermediate High/Advanced Level ESL students. This session will orient teachers and/or administrators to the course and how it could be incorporated into their ESL curriculum. The course is available by OTAN at no cost to California adult education agencies.
Friday, April 28, 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM | CC Licenses, Public Domain, and Copyright
Open Educational Resources (OERs) and Free Resources are not always synonymous. Participants will get a closer look at how OERs are different from free resources available on the Internet. Topics will include Creative Commons licenses, Public Domain, and Copyright. Participants will be shown tips on what to look for and how to familiarize themselves with identifying OERs to assist in avoiding copyright infringement. A best practices toolkit will also be provided.
