OTAN worked with AEBG Technical Assistance Project to share information on topics of educational technology in adult basic education. Please join us for the two webinars in September.

Teaching Vocabulary with Technology
presenter: Kristi Reyes
Wed, September 13th, 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

Adult students need a strong vocabulary foundation in order to develop their literacy and use their English effectively in their many roles: employees, parents, and community members. In this OTAN-sponsored presentation, teachers and faculty will learn a research–proven six-step process infused with technology to help students not only better learn and retain vocabulary but also move new terminology into their productive vocabulary knowledge. Learn to use select resources appropriate to each step of direct vocabulary instruction.

Mobile Digital Literacy
presenter: Susan Gaer
Wed, September 20th, 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

Keep you and your students safe and sound on the Internet when using mobile devices. Learn how to create an effective web presence that will get you and your students noticed in a positive manner. Understand those buried settings on your phone which could be tracking your location. Create a home screen icon on your phone. All this, plus extra tips and tricks, will be covered in this online presentation about mobile digital literacy.
