Leading adult education through support for and the effective application of technology.

OTAN News

Thank You Randi and Congratulations!

Posted on 03/29/2019

Friday, March 29 is the last day of work for our Database Projects Coordinator, Randi Knutson, and the start of her long-awaited retirement. We are sad to see Randi leave but are excited for the new adventures she has planned in her post-OTAN life!

Randi first came to work at the Sacramento County Office of Education in 1997, ultimately becoming the Database Projects Coordinator in 2006. She has been involved in many database and technology projects over the years, including development of the OTAN website and technical assistance to support the work of the CDE Adult Education Office, giving adult education agencies the ability to submit WIOA II (and previously WIA) deliverables online. She has represented OTAN at meetings with CDE, our partner state leadership projects, and other outside organizations. Randi has also managed the programming staff of OTAN to handle many, many, many, MANY requests over the years for tech support inside and outside of SCOE.

(A big shout out to OTAN's programming staff who are the unsung heroes of our agency, doing a ton of work to support the adult education field and state adult ed agencies! The OTAN training staff love having the OTAN programming staff close by for questions large and small!)

We've seen a lot of support for the Seattle Seahawks displayed at Randi's cubicle, so we’re not surprised to learn that Randi may be planning a move to the Puget Sound area in the future. We wish her well and say a great big Thank You and Congratulations on the retirement of one of the long-time OTANians (and send us a forwarding address so we can stay in touch)!
