Digital Inclusion Week Begins
Digital Inclusion Week, sponsored by the National Digital Inclusion Alliance, is an annual event meant to bring attention to solutions addressing home internet access, personal devices, and local technology training and support programs, with the goal of closing digital divides that exist in cities and local communities around the country. This year, Digital Inclusion Week is from October 7 to 11.
During Digital Inclusion Week, there are many ways to learn more about and raise awareness of digital equity issues that communities in California face:

Share this NDIA infographic on Who Doesn’t Have Internet with students, staff, and stakeholders

Consider doing one or more of the events listed this week or in the future, including hosting a digital resource fair, a workshop on a variety of digital inclusion topics, or a resume rally (go to the Digital Inclusion Week page and click Get Involved)

Find an event in your area and connect with community organizers or add them to your list of stakeholders (go to the Digital Inclusion Week page and click List of Events, then sort by State in the chart)

Follow the Twitter hashtags #Digitalinclusion and #DIW2019 to see what other organizations across the country are working on to close digital divides
