It's been a long time coming, but OTAN is finally launching a brand new, user-friendly website! OTAN staff have been working diligently for many, many months on the new website and are putting the finishing touches on the site in time for Monday's unveiling.

In building a new website, staff have focused on three large goals:

  • Adding Accessibility Features – The new OTAN website will have a number of options for users with accessibility requirements when viewing the site, including easy ways to increase the font size, switch from regular to high contrast mode, underline all clickable links and highlight all clickable links in yellow, and switch from regular color to grayscale mode.

  • Designing a Responsive Website – Our original website was built for everyone to view on a desktop computer. In this age of mobile devices, the OTAN website now follows what is known as responsive design so that content adjusts to different screen sizes, no matter the device – desktop, laptop, cellphone, or tablet. No more squinting to read our news items on your phone anymore!

  • Managing Content – We have been working to better organize the content that appears on the OTAN website so that it will be easier to find - this includes teaching tools and resources for your classroom instruction, information about our face-to-face and online trainings, and ways to stay connected to OTAN throughout the school year.

We are in the process of developing a number of one-page handouts that will orient users to the new OTAN website. These will help you locate items on the website and provide you with more information on OTAN products and services. Look for these in the coming days!

We hope you like the new OTAN website that will launch on Monday, September 23!
