Activity Description

Being prepared is the best way to keep car-buying choices and decisions on the right track. In this lesson, students will examine all aspects of the car-buying process including: understanding the differences between buying and leasing; evaluating used cars; financing; applying for loans; and finding the best auto insurance.

Preparation

  1. Register for an account in order to access the lesson plans. Download and review the following materials for Lesson 9: Cars and Loans under the Grades 7-8 lesson plans:
  2. Print the Teacher's Guide (see Example Web Site above)
  3. Print Student Activities (pdf) for each student
  4. Download and familiarize yourself with the PowerPoint presentation (PowerPoint) to use in class.
